CJ Ortuño was the Director of Development for Hands On Miami, a nonprofit social entrepreneur organization that builds community by engaging people in over 100 monthly volunteer action projects. He was responsible for raising the funds necessary for Hands On Miami’s 2 million dollar budget. This was accomplished by building sustainable partnerships with individuals, corporations, government agencies, and foundations to help create synergistic solutions to community problems in the form of cash contributions. Prior to his current position, he accelerated profit in a 2.5 million dollar territory for the Sherwin-Williams Paint Company, where he was considered for the Rookie Salesman of the Year award. The first to achieve a college degree in his family, he graduated from Florida International University with a Batchelor of Arts degree in History. He then traveled through several European countries including Italy , France , Switzerland , Austria , and the United Kingdom for almost two years.
